SCADA Design Course

This 5 days course is tailored toward industrial applications, such as fuel pump rooms or wind farm troubleshooting, where real-time monitoring and control are critical.

Module 1: Introduction to SCADA vs. PLC/DCS: Understanding the hierarchy of industrial automation.

Module 2: Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) & PLCs: Selecting hardware based on I/O requirements and environmental conditions.

Module 3: Communication Infrastructure: Radio, Cellular, Satellite, and Industrial Ethernet (Profinet/EtherNet/IP).

Module 4: HMI (Human Machine Interface) Design: Best practices for High-Performance HMI (situational awareness) and alarm shelving.

Module 5: Data Historians and Reporting: Archiving data for troubleshooting and regulatory compliance.

Module 6: SCADA Cybersecurity: Protecting industrial control systems (ICS) from external threats (ISA/IEC 62443 standards).
