We support a wide range of technical activities with detailed power system studies. We also provide comprehensive support for transmission and distribution infrastructure, covering grid connections, network reinforcement, substation development, overhead line and cable projects.

- Enersys supports electricity transmission and distribution projects from concept development through to detailed pre-construction readiness, providing rigorous technical input at each stage. At project initiation, we undertake feasibility studies, network capacity assessments, connection optioneering, and constraint analysis to inform investment decisions. Our teams perform early-stage power system modelling to evaluate connection viability, reinforcement needs, and compliance with applicable grid codes and technical standards. This includes assessment of system strength, short-circuit levels, voltage performance, and thermal loading across transmission and distribution networks.
- During project development, Enersys delivers detailed power system engineering and technical assurance. We carry out comprehensive studies including load flow, fault level, transient and dynamic stability, power quality, harmonic distortion, protection coordination, and insulation coordination. Where required, we support advanced studies such as EMT analysis, control interaction assessments, and evaluation of grid-forming and grid-following converter behaviour. We support connection applications through the preparation and review of technical submissions, data schedules, and compliance documentation, while also providing interface coordination between developers, network operators, OEMs, and independent engineers.
- As projects approach construction readiness, Enersys provides in-depth technical input into design development and procurement. This includes review of primary and secondary system designs, substation layouts, earthing and lightning protection systems, protection and control philosophies, SCADA and communications architecture, and equipment specifications. We support the preparation of technical specifications, employer’s requirements, and tender documentation for substations, overhead lines, underground cables, and associated grid connection works. We also perform detailed technical assurance of contractor designs and documentation, helping ensure technical compliance, constructability, and long-term operational integrity before projects progress into construction.
